I realize I haven’t updated in a long time, and the reason is that I’ve been busy preparing goodies for my Facebook Readers’ Group and Newsletter subscribers. If you discovered me from AO3, Wattpad, or Radish and are interested in serial fiction, you should definitely join my FB group! I’m writing a mini-serial with short weekly chapter(s) (500-800 words per installment) that my group will get to read before anyone else–for free. They will also get first dibs on ARC opportunities before I hand it over to my newsletter subscribers.

To entice you, below is a NSFW excerpt from the mini-serial.

My next book is about a tax accountant who is vying to be made partner, who begins an illicit workplace romance with his tax intern Max, a secret aspiring musician. It’s a high-heat May/December romance that features a character introduced in “Brave for You.”

I shared another NSFW 600-700 words of this scene with my newsletter subscribers, but here is a small little snippet for those of you who are just browsing. For more, subscribe to my newsletter! (Subscribe form also in the sidebar!)

“You’re drunk,” he said, and he wasn’t sure if the words were meant for Max or for himself, because he could feel himself responding to Max’s gaze. It was the alcohol, of course it was the alcohol, but it was also because Max was young and beautiful and talented in a way that Stephen could never touch and—here’s the important part—Max seemed to want him.

“Shit,” Max muttered, tilted his head back and hitting it softly against the fridge. “Yes. Not so drunk that I’m not mortified, though.”

There was self-deprecating humor in his words, but also a fair bit of self-disgust. Stephen found himself abandoning the counter that he’d been hanging onto and closing the small distance between them. There were alarm bells ringing in his head, but he shut them off, so that all he could hear was the rush of air coming from Max’s mouth as he exhaled. Stephen moved in slowly, giving Max—and himself—plenty of time to back out. He planted his hands, palms down, on either side of Max’s face against the refrigerator door. He leaned in, until he could smell the last drink Max had on his breath, citrusy-sweet. Max’s eyes were dark and liquid, his breath coming fast. Stephen’s breathing seemed to keep up with it; he could feel his dick stiffening in his trousers, pressing at his underwear. “You like intense?” he asked, his words almost a growl.

Max shook his head. “Not that. I like you intense. I like almost everything about you.”

Lesbian Short Story: Dreams in Color

A May/December Erotic Romance Short

Did I mention I have a short story out on Kindle Unlimited right now? Dreams in Color (link to Amazon) is a short erotic romance about undergrad student Ruth who becomes enamored with an older English professor, Dr. Mie Kamigawa.

To quote a lovely, lovely review:

The imagery and deep feeling of want and fulfillment are beautiful in this. It feels like a dream. The words are soft and contemplative. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something bright and aching to escape into for a quiet moment.

If you don’t have KU it is available to purchase for the cool price of $0.99!

“Brave For You” released on Radish!

“Brave For You” released on Radish!

My first gay romance, Brave For You, is finally pre-releasing on Radish before the wide release in summer 2018! I uploaded the first 7 episodes today, and can’t wait for everyone to read them!

For those who are unfamiliar, Radish is a serial fiction app that allows its users to preview and read books from a range of genres on their phone or mobile device. What’s really neat about this is that it allows authors to monetize their serial fiction with a freemium model, under which “episodes” are released one week at a time for free–although the first 3 episodes of a serial are always completely free and unlocked–and anyone who can’t wait for the episode to unlock can purchase coins (such as one would purchase to play games like Candy Crush, Puzzle and Dragons, etc.) that can be used to unlock each episode.

“Brave For You” is on the freemium model, which means that you can tune in every week for a new episode to unlock and read the entire book completely free! So please, if you’re interested in reading more of my writing, check out Radish in your app store =)

Short Story: First Time Seller

Short Story: First Time Seller

Lee needs rent money ASAP. His friend Maddie, a high class call girl, suggests he make himself available to potential “clients” who might help him out of his bind. But when he meets handsome and charming Hugo, Lee’s not sure he wants to keep things strictly business.

Story begins below:

“Don’t look,” Maddie says under her breath, a faint smile tugging her lips. “I think you’ve got an admirer.”

Lee, slightly distracted by the mouthful of tequila he’s just downed—no way is he going to really do this without a little bit of liquid courage in him—looks anyway, a quick glance over his shoulder in the direction of Maddie’s eyes. The glance turns into something else when he catches the gaze of the man across the way; it’s piercing straight into him, the weight of it suddenly leaving him out of breath, so that Lee wonders how it was that he didn’t feel the man watching him before.

“Fuck,” he mutters to Maddie in a stunned voice when he manages to tear his eyes away. He already feels heat crawling up his neck, making its way onto his face. The curse of his Irish background and being too damn light to hide anything. Fuck. “Am I that obvious?”

Beside him, Maddie rolls her eyes. “You’re meant to be obvious, darling. But don’t worry, you look gorgeous in those clothes. Super classy.” She gives a wink at the last bit, as if it’s supposed to make him feel better. “But you’re still sitting here, aren’t you?”

“Brave For You” to be released

“Brave For You” to be released

I thought I had so much time, but the release date for Brave For You is coming on like a great big wave–something on which the locals would say advise me to “never turn your back.” I had originally planned to release this on Kindle Marketplace some time in March, but those plans of changed somewhat to my combined chagrin and delight.

Yesterday I received an acceptance email from Radish Fiction to become a writer for their platform, which specializes in presenting serialized fiction on their beautiful and intuitive app. Since readers have the option of purchasing coins in micro-transactions (sort of like paying for more gems/coins on games like Candy Crush) that are then used to unlock chapters of stories, it’s a platform that rewards its authors with potential earnings.

Radish has some exclusivity rules for its pre-release titles, which means that I will need to keep my title exclusive to Radish for 90 days after the chapters come out. This translates to a wide release date further down the line, but does mean that–barring any mishaps–I will be releasing Brave For You on Radish in March 2018. That’s next month!

I should also have a final version of the cover ready in the next week or so. Super excited! My journey as an indie author is beginning in earnest.
